Candle Care & Safety Guidelines
Thank you for choosing our handcrafted candles! To ensure safe and enjoyable use, please follow these essential candle care and burning tips:
-
Trim the Wick
Always trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use. This helps prevent uneven burning, excessive soot, and a high flame. -
Burn Within Sight
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the candle when leaving the room or going to sleep. -
Keep Away from Flammable Items
Ensure candles are placed away from flammable materials such as curtains, paper, or furniture. -
Use a Heat-Resistant Surface
Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface to protect furniture and surfaces from heat damage. -
Avoid Drafts
Keep candles away from drafts, vents, fans, and air currents to prevent uneven burning, dripping, or excessive flickering. -
Burn Time
Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting. -
Container Care
Discontinue use of a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container. This prevents overheating and potential damage to surfaces. -
Keep Away from Children and Pets
Always keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidents. -
Use a Snuffer
To extinguish the candle safely, use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid splashing hot wax. -
Store Properly
Keep candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their quality.
